Gauteng Reserves
Gauteng's nature reserves serve a primarily peri-urban function — providing accessible green space and wildlife habitat within and around one of Africa's largest metropolitan areas. Suikerbosrand, Rietvlei and the Cradle of Humankind reserves are the most substantial.
