Malealea Lodge Hiking Trails

All of the main hiking routes start from Malealea Lodge, but there are several different trails and there is no single fixed route for this article.

<p>Popular options include the Botsoela Waterfall, Bushman paintings, Pitseng Gorge and longer mountain routes. For the Botsoela Waterfall, hikers leave Malealea Lodge and travel through the surrounding village landscape before descending into the valley and following the stream towards the waterfall.

The Bushman paintings route leaves the lodge towards the nearby villages before descending into the gorge via Echo Cave and continuing to the rock-art site.

The trails around Malealea are generally not formally marked, and Malealea Lodge strongly recommends using a local guide. Confirm your chosen route, distance and guide arrangements at reception before setting out.
